'THE BREWER AND THE DEALER'

During Spring 2012 I wanted to record an Lp to reflect my love of pure gentle music and traditional acoustic instruments. In June 2012 I released a very limited issue handmade solo album called 'We All Belong'. Among the small number of those that heard it was J M Jones, an old friend and former band mate from years before. He approached me with a view to re-record the album with a backing band.

J M Jones introduced me to Alan Tang who added violin and keys, then I found Fran Taylor and her beautiful voice and lastly I added Ross Alexander II to play guitar, mandolin and  backing vocals. J M Jones would play lead guitar and add backing vocals. and we later added Sean Clutterham on Harp on 'Falling'and Kevin Lee on guitar on 'Gitane'.

Using my  home studio I recorded the new band over the course of Winter and into Spring 2013 adding a few new songs along the way. All of the songs were recorded as live takes as I liked to capture those wonderful moments when the songs came to life.

The songs on this album deal with my experiences of the human condition and include tales of broken hearts, addiction and troubled minds. There is also a spiritual song here with a mantra borrowed from Paulo Coelho 'Life is short'
